Learning and Expectations
At Trench Tots Nursery, children learn through a flexible and ambitious curriculum that follows the EYFS and is responsive to their individual interests, starting points and needs. We foster a tailored, child-centred approach to learning, ensuring that each child is supported in a way that reflects who they are and how they learn best. Learning takes place through purposeful play, exploration and meaningful experiences, supported by skilled practitioners who build strong, secure relationships with children and their families. We expect children to be active participants in their learning, developing curiosity, confidence and resilience as they explore both indoor and outdoor environments. Our inclusive practice ensures that children with SEND are fully supported through appropriate adaptations, targeted support and close partnership with parents and professionals. Our expectation is that all children make good progress and leave Trench Tots as happy, confident learners who are ready for their next stage of education
